Meehan and Erickson Endorse Tom McGarrigle for Senate

Lawmakers Cite McGarrigle’s Record of Accomplishment for Working Families

Springfield, PA – Delaware County Council Chairman, small business owner and candidate for State Senate Tom McGarrigle received endorsements today from two well-respected lawmakers in Southeastern Pennsylvania.  Congressman Pat Meehan, who represents portions of Delaware County and Chester County in the U.S. House of Representatives, and State Senator Ted Erickson, who currently holds the seat for which McGarrigle is running, announced their endorsements today.

Congressman Pat Meehan said, “I am pleased to announce my endorsement of Tom McGarrigle.  Tom has been a tireless advocate for job creation in our region, and I know he’ll take that same commitment to Harrisburg.  I worked closely with Tom when the refineries in Delaware County were closing, and he was a great leader in finding the solutions to protect the thousands of jobs and families that would have been impacted had those refineries not found a buyer.”

State Senator Ted Erickson said, “Tom McGarrigle will be a great state senator.   I have seen Tom in action as Chairman of Delaware County Council, and his commitment to the people he represents is second to none.  His leadership was key to bringing the Philadelphia Union soccer stadium to Chester and the movie studio in Aston – projects that mean good-paying jobs for our residents.  Tom has been a strong leader in Delaware County, and he’ll keep up that record in Harrisburg.”
